Inspired by the pursuit of speed
The design of TRC Speed Demon was inspired by the legendary pursuit of the land-speed record and the story of American racing driver Frank Lockhart.
In 1926, Lockhart became the youngest winner of the Indianapolis 500 at just 24 years old. His ambition, engineering skills and passion for speed made him one of the most remarkable racing personalities of his era.
Two years later, on April 25, 1928, Lockhart attempted to break the land-speed record at Daytona Beach behind the wheel of the supercharged V16 Stutz Black Hawk. His attempt ended tragically after a tire failure at more than 220 miles per hour.
The spirit of speed, engineering and adventure lives on in the TRC Speed Demon.
