This allows you to safely remove the hot cooker from the fire or reposition it as needed. By hooking the lid lifter onto the lower part of the tilt lever, the lid can be opened effortlessly to serve steaming-hot potatoes.

The raised rim on the lid provides full temperature control, allowing embers or briquettes to be placed on top to precisely regulate top heat during cooking.
