The pursuit of the land-speed record is the ultimate ambition of the modern man. In the roaring twenties, this dream was embodied by the legendary American racing driver Frank Lockhart. A true daredevil, a self-taught mechanic, and a genuine speed demon — Lockhart was the kind of hero people talked about at their dinner tables. In 1926, at just 24 years old, he became the youngest winner of the Indy 500. He went on to win many prestigious races, capturing the imagination of the American public. But his true goal was the nearly unreachable land-speed record.

On April 25, 1928, Lockhart climbed into his extraordinary supercharged V16 Stutz Black Hawk on Daytona Beach. At the age of just 25, he was flying at a record-breaking speed of 220 miles per hour when the right rear tire suddenly blew — and the world came to a halt. Today, his legend lives on, as the speed demons of our time continue to push the limits of what’s possible.

When handcrafting this urban-style knife, we thought of Lockhart and his way of life. Weighing just 70g, SPEED DEMON features an innovative urban design and a skeletonized handle. For stylish and striking everyday carry, you simply can’t go wrong with SPEED DEMON — it looks as sharp as it cuts. The knife is compact enough to carry comfortably but tough enough for the most demanding cutting tasks. The blade is 4.00 mm thick and 80 mm long. A handmade Kydex® sheath is included.
